Porcelain Veneers
What are Porcelain Veneers? Veneers are a thin, semi-translucent laminate (covering) permanently bonded to your teeth. While they’re not suitable for every patient, veneers are the most aesthetic alternative for a variety of dental conditions involving the front teeth, including:
- Diastemas (spaces between teeth)
- Broken or chipped teeth
- Unsightly, stained, or washed-out fillings
- Permanently stained or discolored teeth that can’t be bleached
- Crooked and rotated teeth
Porcelain Crowns & Bridges
Crowns (caps) are dental restorations that are placed over a tooth when conservative restorations are insufficient to restore form and function. Crowns and bridges can be made entirely of porcelain or a porcelain metal combination to provide optimal aesthetics.
A bridge serves to replace a missing tooth or teeth. One type of bridge consists of crowns placed on either side of the missing tooth to connect the replacement tooth or teeth to them. Bridges can also be supported by dental implants. Crowns and bridges can be made entirely of porcelain to provide optimal aesthetics.
Bonded Tooth Colored Fillings
Bonding involves the direct application of tooth-colored resin and is typically used to create a more attractive smile or restore broken or decayed teeth.
Tooth-colored fillings are an alternative to traditional silver mercury metal fillings and fall into two categories; direct and indirect. Direct restorations are composite resins applied in one appointment. Indirect restorations (inlays or onlays) are made of porcelain fabricated by a dental laboratory. These restorations take two appointments and provide a tremendous advantage over metal fillings, which cause teeth to eventually fracture or decay due to the expansion of the metal within the tooth (non-metal fillings expand similarly to the natural tooth and do not cause fractures).
In addition, the non-metal fillings are chemically sealed (bonded) to the tooth, which provide a seal against decay that is not possible with metal fillings.
Zoom In-Office Whitening
The Zoom! In-Office Whitening System is a revolutionary tooth whitening procedure. It’s safe, effective and fast, very fast. In just over an hour, your teeth will be dramatically whiter.
Whitening is ideal for anyone looking for immediate results. The convenience of Zoom! compared to days of wearing trays and gradual whitening makes it the perfect choice for busy individuals.
Get ready to Zoom!
The Zoom! Whitening procedure is simple and painless. It begins with a short preparation to isolate your lips and gums. The Zoom! clinician then applies the proprietary Zoom! Whitening Gel, which is activated by a specially designed light. Teeth typically become at least six to ten shades whiter, sometimes more. A five-minute fluoride treatment completes the procedure. You’ll be amazed with the results. In most cases teeth get even whiter the first few days after the procedure.
How Zoom! Works!
The Zoom! light activated gel was developed after years of research by Discus Dental, the leaders in professional take-home tooth whitening. The gel is scientifically formulated, pH balanced Hydrogen Peroxide that, when activated by the Zoom! light, gently penetrates the teeth only to remove deep stains and discoloration, while leaving the structure of the tooth unchanged. With proper care and an occasional touch up at home, your whiter smile will sparkle for years.

A Note of Assurance
Tooth whitening is a well-established procedure in cosmetic dentistry. Hydrogen peroxide, the active agent in Zoom!, has also been safely used for many years in the treatment of gums and other oral soft tissue.
The whitening process is effective on most discolored teeth. Darker stains, such as those caused by antibiotics, are more difficult to whiten. The degree of whiteness will vary from patient to patient, depending on the structure of the teeth.
If you have any questions, please ask us to help you maximize your smile using the Zoom! Whitening System.
